The package name of the application, which EMM uses as the app identifier, has to be identified to be able to install and uninstall specific applications on devices.

Retrieving the app identifier of an Android application

Follow the instructions below to retrieve the app identifier of an Android application:

  1. Navigate to Google play.
  2. Click on the respective application. Note down the app identifier from the application URL. 
    For example: 

    Application URLApp Identifier
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instagram.androidcom.instagram.android
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.facebook.katanacom.facebook.katana
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whatsappcom.whatsapp

Retrieving the app identifier of an iOS application

Follow the instructions below to retrieve the app identifier of an iOS application:

  1. Navigate to iTunes.
  2. Click on the respective application. Note down the app identifier from the application URL. 
    For example:
