This section guides you through how to add additional text fields to a configurable governance artifact. Extra fields added to WSDL, WADL, policy and schema RXTs are saved as properties and also used to customize the storage path.

For example, if you want to add a new field to the WSDL RXT file to store department information, you can do so as shown below:

<artifactType type="application/wsdl+xml" fileExtension="wsdl" shortName="wsdl" singularLabel="WSDL" pluralLabel="WSDLs" hasNamespace="true" iconSet="28">
	<storagePath>/trunk/wsdls/@{department}/@{namespace}/@{version}/@{name}</storagePath>
	<content href="../generic/wsdl_view_ajaxprocessor.jsp?hideStandardView=true">
      	<field type="text">
          	<name label="Version">Version</name>
      	</field>
       	<field type="text">
          	<name label="Department">Department</name>
      	</field>
	</content>
</artifactType>

If you need that department information to be added into the auto-generated SOAP service, then you have to add the above department field to the overview section of the SOAP service RXT:

<table name="Overview">
      	<field type="text" required="true">
          	<name label="Name">Name</name>
      	</field>
      	<field type="text" required="true">
          	<name label="Namespace">Namespace</name>
      	</field>
      	<field type="text" required="true">
          	<name label="Version">Version</name>
      	</field>
      	<field type="text" required="true">
          	<name label="Department">Department</name>
      	</field>
      	<field type="text">
          	<name label="Scopes">Scopes</name>
      	</field>
      	<field type="text">
          	<name label="Types">Types</name>
      	</field>
      	<field type="text-area">
          	<name label="Description">Description</name>
      	</field>
</table>

Once the customized RXTs are deployed into WSO2 Governance Registry, you can provide department information in the Department custom text box:

Once the WSDL file is imported into WSO2 Governance Registry, the WSDL storage path will be customized and the department information will be saved as a property.

Similarly, you can customize the storage path and capture more information with static RXTs like schemas, policies, REST services, swagger etc. by adding custom fields to each related RXT. This makes it possible to import governance artifacts while capturing metadata information for the SOAP Service. Versioning support makes it possible to manage the versions of artifacts (WSDL, XSD, WADL, policies etc.) easily.
