The WSO2 Open Banking solution consists of the following mandatory components:

  • WSO2 Open Banking Key Manager (WSO2 OB KM)
  • WSO2 Open Banking API Manager (WSO2 OB APIM)

Additional components:

  • WSO2 Open Banking Business Intelligence (WSO2 OB BI)
  • WSO2 API Manager Analytics (WSO2 APIM ANALYTICS)
  • WSO2 Enterprise Integrator (WSO2 EI)

In a standalone setup, these components are deployed in a single server. However, in a typical production environment, it is recommended to deploy the components in separate servers (distributed) for better performance.

Listed below are the prerequisites for a successful deployment.

In a production deployment, it is recommended that WSO2 products are installed on latest releases of RedHat Enterprise Linux or Ubuntu Server LTS.

See Compatibility of WSO2 Products to find the environments that the WSO2 products are tested with.

JDK Version

Oracle JDK 1.8

  • Mysql 5.7 or above
  • Oracle 12c RC2 and above

  • MSSQL 2016 and above

We do not recommend configuring H2 database in the production environment.

It is not recommended to use Apache DS in a production environment due to scalability issues. Instead, use an LDAP like OpenLDAP, RDBMS, Active Directory, custom user stores for user management.
