The WSO2 Relational Store Service (RSS) functionality of the Storage Server allows you to create and manage Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) seamlessly through a simplified Management Console User Interface. It provides facility to create relational databases, tables, users, privilege templates etc.

If you use Storage Server as a service, you can right away create databases in the RDBMS configured in the cloud. If you use Storage Server on-premise, you can either use the default H2 database that comes with the product or configure RSS to connect to your own RDBMS.

The following topics explain how to connect to your organization's RDS from WSO2 RSS, create and manage your databases through the RSS user interface and then connect to your backend RDS instances from applications:
