If your production environment already has an instance of WSO2 Identity Server (WSO2 IS) deployed, you can use it as the Key Manager of WSO2 API Manager (WSO2 APIM). Having the WSO2 IS as the Key Manager is beneficial if you wish to use features specific to the WSO2 IS (related to authentication/authorization). The sections below describe the version compatibility between WSO2 IS and WSO2 API,  and also how to configure different versions of the WSO2 IS with different versions of the API ManagerWSO2 APIM
